Ask Alexa to Play the Party

107.3 The Party — the Cedar Valley's Party Station — offers an Alexa skill so listeners can stream KPTY-FM hands-free on Amazon Echo and other Alexa devices, right alongside the station's mobile app.

Once the skill is enabled, pull up the party sound wherever an Alexa device is set up, at home or on a smart speaker in another room.

Bringing the party into every room of your home is easier than ever with the station's Alexa skill. Whether you are cooking dinner, hosting a tailgate, or simply relaxing on the couch, a simple voice command gets the Cedar Valley's party station playing instantly. The skill works seamlessly alongside the station's mobile app, so you can start listening on your phone and pick up right where you left off on a smart speaker. It is a convenient way to stay connected to the music, contests, and community events that keep the region moving.

Setting up the Alexa skill takes only a few moments. Listeners can open the Alexa app on their smartphone or use their Echo device directly to search for and enable the skill. Once activated, the skill is ready to respond whenever you ask for the party station by name. The hands-free experience makes it simple to keep the music cranking while you focus on other things, whether that is getting ready for a concert, preparing food for friends, or hosting a watch party for the big game.

The station has long been a go-to source for the best hits, local happenings, and community connection, and the Alexa skill extends that reach even further. From morning commutes to weekend gatherings, the party sound is now available throughout your home without lifting a finger. Fans who already use the mobile app or tune in online will find the voice-activated experience just as reliable and easy to enjoy. It is another way the station keeps listeners at the heart of everything happening across the Cedar Valley.
